Pleasant Valley Horse Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that rescues, rehabilitates, then re-homes or retires horses in need in Northern California, and provides an essential connection between people who want horses and the horses who need homes.
There’s something special about the connection we make with horses. With their unique dignity, grace, and beauty, horses enrich our lives in many ways. Long part of our Western heritage, horses today willingly serve us in work, pleasure, and entertainment. They become our devoted companions and friends.
As beloved as they are, thousands of horses in Northern California and Western Nevada face an uncertain future. All too often, they end up overworked, neglected, on the auction block, or destined for a slaughterhouse.
This is where Pleasant Valley Horse Foundation comes in. Because every horse deserves a safe, comfortable, and secure life — their own ‘pleasant valley.’
